As a painter and illustrator, Doug Cowan has done artwork for The New York Times Book Review, Wind-Up Records, Workstyle Magazine, The Independent, The Deal Magazine, Kevin Eastman's Heavy Metal Magazine, Lucasfilm, and The Topps Card Company, among others.
Doug has also been part of exhibitions at The Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, San Diego Comic Con International, and the Star Wars Celebration Art Show, Fan Expo Boston, and the annual exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in New York.
